It's what we've all been waiting for - DAS Collections' exciting debut at London Fashion Week with their beautiful "Goddess" inspired collection.

The show took place on September 18, 2011 (my birthday!) as part of the House of Evolution at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. House of Evolution is made up of three design houses: DAS Collections, MATH and ROHMIR. DAS Collections was first to showcase their regal and elegant S/S '12 ready-to-wear collection on the runway.

The Beljafla sisters, who hail from the UAE, blew everyone's socks off with their 21 designs, which included a mix of feminine, floaty pieces and more edgy, eclectic ones.

The colour palette was made up of mainly pastel shades - hues of dusky pink, sea blue, marble grey and soft beige, all perfect for the airy nature of the spring/summer season.

It was clear to see that the collection took its inspiration from Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman garments with the pieces incorporating interesting details such as layering, draping, metal panels and embellishments, Grecian straps and rope.

What's great about the collection is that it's not really about East-meets-West - Hind and Reem have produced a collection that is universally appealing - appealing to the audiences at London Fashion Week and appealing to women back home in the GCC.

The Beljafla sisters never disappoint!
