Monaco Royal Charlotte Casiraghi swaps heels for loafers in new low-key campaign for Gucci

Charlotte Casiraghi was last seen rocking an equestrian look as the face of Gucci.
Now, the 25-year-old has been photographed by the Italian fashion house in a more relaxed environment; a luxurious living room suited to a young Monaco Royal like herself.
Two images of the brunette beauty posing in the label's Fall 2012 campaign have been unveiled, showcasing Miss Casiraghi in casual attire yet looking no less glamorous.

The striking young woman, who is also an amateur show jumper, wears the brand's signature loafers in both images; a black pair and a lighter coloured pair.
One image in the 'Forever Now' series captures her sitting on the ground, leaning against a sofa where her head rests on her arm.
Photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, she wears a silk blouse that has been tucked into a pair of rolled-up denim jeans, the white loafers poking out at the bottom of the shot.

The model is surrounded by books, another fitting set detail as the young Royal is a fan of literature, dabbling as a journalist after creating her own fashion magazine Ever Manifesto in 2009, which was distributed at Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks that year.
The other image shows the royal curled up on the sofa, reading one of the books that had previously been surrounding her.

She is stern in both images, her natural beauty shining through.
Miss Casiraghi is, after all, the granddaughter of Grace Kelly.
She wears a white blouse in the black and white photograph, paired with a pair of trousers, her hand running through her long mane of brunette locks.

It is an equally-stunning campaign to the one the brand unveiled back in March.
Paying tribute to her equestrian talents, the shoot, by photographer Peter Lindbergh, took place at a snowy stable.
Miss Casiraghi was seen leaning against a hay bale in the final shot with her hair loose and tousled and a scarf tied around the forehead. Her make-up was minimal and her riding boots were glimpsed in the bottom of the frame.
She also wore a red riding jacket and high-necked black shirt, all most likely part of the riding kit that Gucci exclusively created for her to compete in.
Behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot obtained showed Miss Casiraghi posing with a horse as well.
Clearly at ease with the animals, she seemed in control as she guided its head in order that it is at the best angle for the photographer, and unfazed by the freezing conditions.
Of course the equestrian theme is an important one for Gucci too. Mr Gucci was inspired to use that now-signature red-and-green stripe in the first campaign after seeing it on a horse's saddle in the Fifties.
Though Royals rarely front fashion campaigns - certainly the Duchess of Cambridge and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie would be unlikely to do so - Miss Casiraghi and Gucci's creative director share a bond which led to the signing.
Frida Giannini explained: 'Over the last two years I have had the pleasure and privilege to get to know Charlotte through our shared passion for horses.
'She not only embodies the beauty and the grace of the equestrian, but is also a wonderful ambassador for the sport.'
Miss Casiraghi was equally full of praise for Ms Giannini, adding: 'I admire Frida’s talent as a designer and she has really managed to reinvent the codes of Gucci by giving them a modern twist and a timeless elegance.'

The young Royal follows in the footsteps of the Queen's granddaughter, Zara Phillips, who fronted a campaign for a range of equestrian clothing for British firm Musto in 2010.
Miss Casiraghi had been dating model Alice Dellal's brother, Alex, for four years but is rumoured to now be dating French actor Gad Elmach.
